| Meet Sloopy (whose name comes from the song "Hang on Sloopy", sung at Ohio State athletic events!), who is a sweetheart. She is the ultimate lapdog, and would gladly spend all day there if a lap were available. If one is not, she does love racing around the backyard, and is quite a good fetcher. She is small, but can hang with the big dogs! It was a hoot to see her make friends with a Great Dane recently....she did so by reaching up and putting her paws on his chest. She could not quite reach his head, but she was not intimidated! Sloopy is an F1B mini Goldendoodle, the daughter of our F1 Goldendoodle, Rouge, and a mini poodle named Maestro, owned by Tuscan Ridge Labradoodles. She is expected to mature at about 30 lbs, or maybe a little less, and has a coat that feels like it is made of silk. Born in July of 2006, her health tests will be conducted in the spring of 2007. Assuming a good outcome with those, she is expected to have her first litter sometime in late 2007. |
