Labradoodles, Goldendoodles and Double Doodles (North American
Retrievers) with 'fleece' coats usually require about an hour of grooming each
week.  The time is variable depending upon the length of the coat and the
size of the dog.  The long, flowing coats require more frequent brushing to
prevent mats.  Keeping the coat cut to a length of less than 2" means they
require less brushing, but more time (or money) is spent trimming the coat
to that length.

Fleece coats can be found in some F1B Labradoodles and Goldendoodles,
and in some multigeneration Labradoodles and Goldendoodles, and in Double
Doodles.  It is important to work with an experienced breeder in choosing a
dog with a fleece coat, because these generations can also have very
high-maintenance wool coats.  An experienced breeder can usually
distinguish between fleece coats and wool coats in puppies.
