| Maggie's second litter of 5 F6 multigen Labradoodle puppies were born on 6/28. We were very excited as Maggie is from American lines and the sire, Digideroo, was from Australian lines. There were 2 blacks, a dark chocolate, a cream, and a chocolate phantom, all with white markings. We expect them to mature at 15-20 lbs. This phantom boy we kept for ourselves! Pending a good outcome to his health tests he will be part of our breeding program. He is in a guardian home in northern Ohio. Maggie is a Multigeneration (F5) Miniature Labradoodle, a daughter from Libby's December 2004 litter. Here is the other Multigeneration Miniature Labradoodle in our breeding program, Maggie's brother, Beau. We call this line of Multigeneration miniature Labradoodles 'Lapdoodles', as they mature at the perfect size to sit in your lap....right around 15-20 lbs. Maggie is a delightful combination of active, puppyish charm and cuddly lapdog. She LOVES to run when turned loose in a large space....her legs move so fast they are a blur. She is also at home on the couch or futon...but especially prefers a lap! We are delighted to report that Maggie's preliminary hip assessment, the only assessment offered by the OFA prior to the age of 24 months, was graded as 'Excellent'! While many breeders do not do hip tests on miniature Labradoodles as they rarely display Hip Dysplasia, we felt it was important because these are breeding dogs. The results of her eye (CERF) exam in June were excellent. |
